At CHG, we would like to express our sincere support to all those affected by the recent DANA that has severely impacted the Valencian Community. We stand in solidarity with the individuals and families going through difficult times, and we reaffirm our commitment to supporting them during this challenging period.
How can we help the Valencian Community after the DANA?
We have made our facilities available to receive and support the teams and volunteers who are dedicating their efforts to the recovery. This week, we will welcome nearly 800 professionals working to assist those who have suffered losses. We are also organizing a collection of basic goods such as non-perishable food, coats, blankets, hygiene products, and bottled water to provide essential supplies to the affected.
We know that every action counts and that, united, we can make a positive difference during this time of need. There are several ways in which anyone can contribute and join this solidarity cause:
Volunteering in the Affected Areas
The Generalitat Valenciana has launched a volunteer initiative to coordinate aid in the most impacted areas. Tasks include cleaning public spaces, repairing homes, and delivering essential supplies. You can register to volunteer through the official Generalitat website.
Donations of Basic Goods
For those wishing to donate non-perishable food, clothing, blankets, and hygiene products, there are numerous collection points in Valencia and surrounding areas. These include the El Quint Pavilion in Mislata, the Denia Health Center, and several Red Cross centers.
Real-Time Support with Interactive Maps
The platforms ‘Ayuda Terreta’ and ‘Ajudadana’ allow those affected to mark their specific needs on an interactive map. This helps connect volunteers with people in need, enabling a quick and effective response in the most urgent areas.
Monetary Donations
For those who wish to contribute financially, organizations such as the Generalitat Valenciana, Cáritas, and the Red Cross have set up bank accounts and payment platforms, such as Bizum, to receive donations. These funds will be used to cover the costs of supplies, reconstruction, and psychological support.
Blood Donations and Health Support
The demand for blood donors has increased to help those in critical condition. During this week, donation points have been set up at the Ateneo Mercantil in Valencia, Hospital La Fe, and other centers across the Valencian Community.
Support for Children and Families
Activities for children have been organized at special centers so that parents can focus on cleaning and reconstruction efforts while their children are in a safe environment, supervised by staff.
Help for Animal Shelters
Like people, many animal shelters were also affected. PACMA and organizations such as Tiendanimal have set up collection points for animal food and medication. Other entities like Kiwoko and Bioparc have also joined this cause.
Psychological Support and Free Legal Advice
Various associations have made psychological support services available to help people cope with the emotional impact of such a tragedy. Additionally, some law firms are offering free legal advice on insurance claims and other legal matters for those affected.
We deeply appreciate everyone who has joined and shown solidarity. In this difficult time, the strength of the community is crucial. To those who have suffered losses and their loved ones, we send a message of hope, strength, and unity to overcome these challenging times together.
